Aligning Learning and Talent Development Strategy to Business Objectives

SUNDAY 8 APRIL 2018

About the Program

When working on learning and development projects, many immediately race to create course materials and roll out initiatives without up-front analysis of what is driving the need or how to ensure results. They often operate in an “order taker” mode, relying on information from the requester about content, learner needs, the duration of training, and project completion deadlines. In this highly interactive course, you will learn a systematic approach for aligning your talent development strategy to drive business performance. Understand how you need to “go slow so you can move fast” when taking on a project. Gain access to invaluable methods you can use on the job immediately to assess business and performance needs. Reap the benefits of identifying individual or organizational needs prior to developing learning strategies, so you can be sure the programs you develop will be effective.

Measuring Return on Investment (RoI) for High-Performing Teams

WEDNESDAY – THURSDAY 11 – 12 APRIL 2018

About the Program

The most frequent challenge a learning and talent development professional faces is identifying the most effective way to measure the success and impact of learning programs. There is no one-size-fits-all approach that works best for evaluating learning programs. There are many variables (and obstacles) to consider when identifying how to measure the success of learning programs, including the business’s goals and culture, stakeholders needs, employee performance strategy, resources, time, budgets, data collection methods and tools, and even the different types of learning techniques used—such as classroom, microlearning, and e-learning. In this interactive, two-day course, you will learn a holistic approach to a return on investment model for entire teams—a results-based method for measuring and evaluating training programs connecting your learning investment to the business bottom line as well as converting improvement into money.

Designing Customised Blended Learning Models for Your Business Needs

WEDNESDAY – THURSDAY 11 – 12 APRIL 2018

About the Program

Blended learning occurs when the best delivery methodologies available for each specific learning objective are incorporated into a curriculum. While you may have been blending preand post-program elements into your training mix for years, the increasing prevalence of learning technologies and tools requires a more strategic look at the most effective ways to integrate delivery methodologies. This unique ATD program uses a blended learning approach to model the concepts taught in the workshop. You’ll begin by completing a pre-work assignment that you’ll continue to work with throughout the course. Following the classroom based workshop, you’ll reconvene with your peers in an online session for some post course work. Throughout the learning experience, collaborate with your participants and the facilitator in an interactive discussion forum. And finally, one of the most important elements of the workshop is the opportunity to bring your own training program to adapt to the blended format through various application activities.
